TEMPting Job

Some people take it that they are resigned to fate, some believe that fate resides within their very palms.

For me, fate comes in 2 parts, the uncontrollable 'background' which determines your family, country of birth, method of upbringing , number of siblings, wealth, inherited traits, unexpected happenings, etc. These are things that cannot be changed regardless of personal will and actions and will have to be accepted. It may or may not be attributed to another person's actions (hence your fate (>.<)).
Next is the 'forefront', which is directed by the 'wants' of your conscious mind - material comfort, status, personal outlook, educational level and hobbies. This is where things become interesting. By knowing your intended path of progress, it is possible to steer your life in the way you picture it. While things may not always be smooth sailing, as long as you harbour the right attitude, be knowledge savvy (in particular to the intended subject) and are able to react swiftly to situational changes, majority of your goals will definitely be guaranteed.
I've learnt that the world isn't always nice to you. However, if the right move is executed at the right time with the right manner, you will be able to get what you want. That's probably what I felt when i went for my temp job interview. I looked at my boss-to-be with an undaunted face and talked to her in a natural day-to-day conversational manner. Thats how I managed to touch a familiar spot on the subject of event managment and we clicked. The sub-conscious feeling of success seeped in along with a jab of adrenaline and i'd known that i got the job right there and then. The world felt nice.
There is a third factor to fate which is called luck. Luck is based (usually) from a personal viewpoint. While some may find certain happenings 'lucky', I prefer to view it as a sort of post-event thought; That getting the call from the agency, aceing the interview, getting a slightly above-average pay and being able to go overseas in the temp job is not lucky but somewhat rather a cause-and-effect from me satisfying the job pre-requisites, having made the trip to the agency and getting it right during both my interviews - i have actually done something to gurantee my securing of the job. (I also do not attribute miracles to luck.)
Has fate becomed history for me then? Not quite. The 'background' of fate, or some call it 'God's Will' still holds certain strength which constantly reminds us not to undermine its prescence. It cannot be overruled, but looking on the bright side, at least whatever freeplay we're allowed on our fate can be controlled. This bit of control does make a difference, and since this control proves to affect our very lives, do grab hold of this opportunity to exercise whatever you can to change your fate (for the better**).
The younger we start, the more time we have. And the more time we have the more we can achieve.
So why not start manipulating your fate today?
**varies from different viewpoints ...just be happy ne?

Attached are some pictures from my business trip to Shenzhen. Enjoy.

The 5 star hotel that the event was held in.

My Personal Room. Luv the pillows. Pity I got only 5hrs of sleep daily.

Tons of stuff to be showcased. Months of logistic planning hidden behind this picture.

Main event room with elaborate setup. Plenty of other rooms too. My colleague fainted on setup day due to the overextensive workload.
Teardown nightmare. 2 days and we couldn't finish even though i volunteered to start early.Phear carton boxes.
Goodbye Shenzhen, goodbye oily food and sleazy spas. Boy, could i catch some sleep!
