Reunion Meetings: tete-a-tete

Age when i received my PSLE results... 12
Age when i reminisced my PSLE results with pri school mates - 21
We all realised it in a split second.( Ok, someone had problems
counting but lets protect the innocent :> ) A vast difference of 9
years.

Boy, isnt that long? Its almost been a decade.

Gatherings come by once in a blue moon. We're all lazy to take up all of that organizing hassle. Nevertheless, we met each other; not for the first time, but our first impression was as if we had never known the other ever existed.
' Who are you?'
' ... *reply of long lasting stare with complicated facial expressions*'
' Orhhhh!'
In a moment, the lingering barrier surrounding us lifted and we plunged into a journey of excavating our past fossilised memories.

Living without reminiscing is living without worry.
Living without worrying is bliss.
Its what people term Innocent Bliss, and its what i term Childhood. It is these memories that create a tinge of sourness within the depths of your heart, and it is these memories that drive a sweet little arc of a smile from the corner of your mouth - when you start remembering them.

2 phrases caught me thinking.

" Isn't it weird that we've done so many stupid things back then? I can't believe we actually did that! School was fun!"
That was primary school. That was when we WANTED to grow up. To enjoy what we cant.

"Everytime we meet, i get this fuzzy feeling.. we should meet more."
Feeling the stretch of time with our very first wrinkles, we've unknowingly immersed ourselves within the nefarious fabric of relations - and probably trapped forever within the polluted mire. And thus we now yearn for the stupidity that once warranted our blissful happiness and trusty nature.

Now... thats stupid - But its not wrong. It is how the majority would feel and it cannot be denied. Thus is the power of time. The ability to turn things around and make us act foolishly. Then comes the power of our brain. Its ability to overpower time with thoughts and memories that surpass time's temporal nature.

All we need is to be aware of our present. And we'll be open to the choice of enjoying our memories, without being locked to the past. Afterall, forward is the only way to go in the everlasting circle of time.
